Petraa’s Sizzling Summer!
Petraa has been busy this summer travelling between Jamaica and Canada, writing new material and laying down tracks in the studio. But when she has the time in her schedule, she loves to head to Toronto in July to take part in the annual Caribbean Carnival that is known as ‘Caribana Toronto’.
If you were in Toronto this summer you would have been hard pushed not to get swept up in the Caribbean atmosphere that took over the town for a full three weeks. As the revellers partied in the streets, Petraa was featured in the ‘Mas Band Parade’ and later at the UV Party in her eye-catching and colourful costume of bling, feathers, beads and pure dazzle!

What is Caribana Toronto 2016?
Toronto celebrates it’s 48th annual Caribana Toronto Festival this summer 2016, bringing music, costumes, colour, flair and fun to the city. Caribana was introduced to Toronto back in 1967 as a three-day long event highlighting and celebrating Caribbean culture and traditions. Over the years the event has grown massively and now dominates the summer with a three-week long Caribbean binge, which this year started on 5th July and ran right through the 1st August 2016. Unsurprisingly, Caribana is North America’s largest cultural festival, which attracts over a million tourists each year from all age groups.
